T he Small and Medium Size Enterprises Pro motion Agency (APME) continues its drive toward strengthening local industries via newly signed conventions with two private enterprises including LEMOPI Manufacturing Group Limited and Société Industrielle des Produits Agroalimentaires (SIPAAL SARL) on July 29, 2026. Together, these agree ments represent a combined capital injection of over FCFA 1.48 billion aimed at boosting manufacturing capacity, crea ting employment, and driving import substitution. Based in Bamenda, LEMOPI Manufactu ring Group Limited is investing FCFA 192.17 million to establish a production unit for corrugated zinc roofing sheets using 100% local inputs. Over its five-year operational phase, the venture projects an output of 27,628 roofing units for a cumulative turnover exceeding FCFA 5.78 billion starting from FCFA 919 million in its first year. Beyond its financial growth, the project directly creates 15 initial jobs that will scale up to 35 staff, alongside generating 100 indi rect jobs and providing training for 40 individuals to aid regio nal reconstruction. Speaking during the signing ceremony, the chief executive officer of the enterprise, Tanyi Florence Ngwenyi, emphasized that the partnership guarantees 100% custom tax exonerations du ring the import of production machines.
