F ounded by Anne Célestine Kengne Momo Dje in 2017, Best Living Food and Consulting SARL widely recognised as BELI FA Cares operates under the brand names Caresse Cacao and Angono Gotam. Based in Mefou-et-Afamba division in the Centre region, precisely on the road to Mfou, the small and medium size enterprise (SME) which since 2023 specializes in manufacturing energy boos ting and functional snacks was originally an establishment for business coaching. The concept emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, when rural farmers suffered heavy losses due to a lack of access to urban mar kets, while urban residents struggled with sedentary li festyles and overconsumption of ultra-processed products. To remedy this, the promoter developed balanced formulations substituting sugar with natural fruit sugars, local cereals, and cocoa. Following successful testing with households re porting improved digestion, sleep, and vitality, the activity became structured. Established with a capital of about FCFA one million, today, the enterprise markets four main product categories namely multi-cereal granolas enriched with cocoa, functional cereal biscuits under the “SÉSAMO” line, dehydrated fruits, and functional herbal teas (such as Vigueur Messeup, Medim me zon, and Viri Fertile) pro duced sustainably from tree leaves and barks harvested responsibly. To ensure these products remain accessible to various households while valuing local knowhow, these items are priced ranging from FCFA 250 for 25 g sachets, FCFA 500 for 50 g formats, up to FCFA 1,000 for 100 g portions. Beyond retail sales, the enterprise’s products have successfully served as authentic tourism branding items for hotel chains and local sports houses....
