The Ministry of Public Works has indicated that the first phase of the project to construct the Yaoundé-Douala motorway is 74 per cent completed. According to the ministry construction has already reached 60 km. It adds that pavement work is completed between kilometre point 00 and kilometre point 40 while earthworks are underway between kilometre point 40 and kilometre point 60.
