The South West Region like the rest of the regions of the country, will witness a certain degree of transformation in the 2018 financial year. This follows a budgetary allocation of over FCFA 17 billion for the Public Investment budget. According to the Project Log Book published by the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT), various ministries have identified projects to be sponsored either directly or through the councils within the framework of decentralisation. Remarkable projects for the South West Region contained in the project log book includes the provision of potable water to communities, rural electrification, rural roads as well as construction and rehabilitation of classrooms. 

Prominent among the projects include the completion of Kumba-Mamfe road, studies for the construction of Mamfe-Akwaya road, asphalting of Melong-Bangem road, rural electrification in several villages of the region, the ...
