O n Friday, September 25, the Prime Mi nister, Head of Government, Chief Dr. Dion Ngute, will on behalf of President Paul Biya, lay the foundation stone of the Kempinski Shekinah Palace, a prestigious 5-star hotel in Douala Bonanjo. Developed by All Luxury Suites Group (ALS Group) on nearly two hectares, the project repre sents an estimated investment of FCFA 220 billion, financed through 55% private equity and 45% loans. The 27-storey complex, rising to 100 metres, will comprise a five-star luxury hotel with 214 rooms and suites and 35 serviced apartments. It will also provide approximately 17,000 square metres of Grade A office space, strengthening Douala’s premium business infrastructure. Among its major facilities are a conference hall with capacity for up to 3,000 people, a 2,000-square-me tre spa and fitness centre, a 2,000-square-metre luxury retail gallery, a 500-square-metre art gallery, five restaurants, five bars, two swimming pools, a 750-square-metre casino, a 500-square-metre nightclub, and 600 secured parking spaces.
