BVMAC: Equities Surge As Bonds Retreat

The regional stock exchange serving the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa, revealed this in her 2025 performance report published on September 8 2026.

I n the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC) 2025 re­ port published on September 8 2026, the institution re­ veals the total regional equity market capitalization in 2025 rose by 7.94% to reach FCFA 477.7 billion, up from FCFA 442.6 billion recorded at the end of 2024. This market cap was driven by the continues progress of key listings across member states including Came­ roonian giants like SAFACAM, SOCAPALM, SEMC, and La Ré­ gionale Bank, Gabon’s BGFI Holding Corporation and SCG-Ré, and Equatorial Guinea’s BANGE Bank over the twelve-month period. Investor engagement accelerated significantly, with trading volumes growing to 51.10% compared to the previous period and reaching 23,817 indi­ vidual shares exchanged. Total transaction value in the equity market reached about FCFA 740 million, representing an 18.92% year-over-year increase. Reflec­ ting this heightened activity, the regional All Share Index posted an 8.24% gain. Corpo­ rate profitability across these regional firms also translated into higher investor returns, with total dividend distributions rising to 20.63% amounting to FCFA 3.415 billion.
