Capital Market: Alios Finance Prepares FCFA 1.6 Billion Debt Repayment

The bond commitment by the specialized financing and leasing company is expected to be reimbursed on August 16, 2026, with encashment operations beginning the next day.

I n its official market bulletin published on August 7, 2026, the Central African Secu­ rities Exchange (BVMAC) formally announced the details of an upcoming debt service operation by Alios Finance Cameroun. The non-banking financial institution, pioneer and key local player in credit leasing, equipment financing, and corporate lending since 1959 is set to disburse a total of FCFA 1.6 billion on August 16, 2026. This payout corres­ ponds to the 6th scheduled maturity of its multi-tranche bond issue designated as “AF­ CMR 2023-2028.” According to official figures released by BVMAC’s Managing Director, Louis Banga Ntolo, the reim­ bursement comprises FCFA 1.5 billion dedicated to principal repayment and FCFA 105.1 mil­ lion in gross interest calculated at a competitive rate of 6.5%. Formally scheduled over a five-year horizon across ten semi-annual maturities, this debt instrument was originally launched by Alios Finance to fund its long-term corporate growth and expansion plan through 2028.
