Economic Forum: Preparations Intensify In Kribi

Kribi, capital of the Ocean Division in the South Region, is getting set to hosts, on 30 and 31 May 2019, an economic forum on the theme «The impact of the port in the socio-economic development of Kribi and its environs.» The Kribi Economic Forum (FEK) is a platform for exchanges between economic operators and development partners. Germain R. Salla, organizer of the forum explained that «The FEK undoubtedly responds to the need to involve all socio-economic groups to the economic development of the region.” The coastal city is no longer just a tourist attraction, but is gradually becoming an industrial city. This trend is due to the realization of several projects in Kribi and its environs, notably the gas station of Mpolonguwe, iron exploitation in Mamelle and the construction of the Kribi Deep Seaport.
