Tourism: Gabon Partners With Indonesia To Boost Sector

In a bid to make Gabon a reference destination, the country’s government has signed an agreement with an Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation, a public company specialized in promoting Indonesian destination and tourism brand-name. The agreement signed recently by the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS) aimed at promoting Gabon’s destination across the world. The agreement will amongst other things enable the launching of an urban tourism program near the Raponda Walker Arboretum in Akanda, northern Libreville, covering an area of 1,000 hectares. For the FGIS this project aims to position Gabon as a reference destination for sustainable tourism and to create jobs.
